I get asked a lot about why I started golf, my blog and Flag Collecting. I’ve written about why I started in my first blog post (scroll down). I also get a few emails with people wanting to know how they can start playing or get into golf media. With both, I tell them to find the right people or direct them to assist.
My Flag Collector selfies started off as a fun thing to do after every game. I wish I had started much sooner because of the flags I never took pictures of, and I’m not sure I will get the chance to play those courses again. It was also my way of creating a fun golf awareness to women about the sport. It then evolved to me taking pictures with my fourballs or whoever I was playing, with as long as they were cool with it. I didn’t even get to put in half of the flags collected on this reel.
I get asked, too, who would make my perfect fourball.
Firstly, me and my kids. Secondly, me, Gary Player, Tiger Woods and Annika Sorenstum. That would be a fourball. Tiger is still a dream, I’ve had the privilege of meeting Annika, sitting down and chatting with her and watching her play, thanks to Gary Player But, you all know The BEST and most impressive flag selfie is with the legend himself Mr Gary Player because I brag about it any chance I get. Honestly, who wouldn’t. Look, if you can get a fourball selfie with Gary, I’d say you done good. It’s definitely the most valuable Flag Collected in my collection. ⛳️
